Thorax: Peacock Herl or Peacock Black Master Bright

Wing: White Poly-Pro Yarn

Fishing Tips: There is a little reservoir just west of Pocatello, Idaho, called Springfield Reservoir. In this reservoir it is not uncommon to catch 20 fish in three hours all over twenty inches. This red and black chironomid is one of the best patterns to fish out there. I fish this pattern about three to five feet below a strike indicator with a floating line, and I slowly strip the line in. I have also found it to work very well on Henry’s Lake in Idaho and Hebgen Lake in Montana.
